Tortugas

Playa Venao

It's estimated that only 1 in 1,000 hatchlings will survive to adulthood. We'd like to change those odds.

Who we are

We are a group of volunteers committed to the care and conservation of sea turtles in Playa Venao, Panama through protection initiatives, public education, and regenerative tourism.

United Through Passion

Doing our part

Sea turtles are increasingly becoming an endangered species around the world. The natural obstacles faced by young and adult sea turtles are staggering, but it is the increasing threats caused by humans that are driving them to extinction. Conservation efforts play a very important role in changing this situation for the turtles of Panama.

Our mission is to protect and conserve the sea turtles that visit the beaches of Playa Venao, reduce the impact of predators and poachers, and catalyze awareness through local community engagement and impactful research.

Together we can make a difference.
